The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services stage established for intervention activities a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all clients and raise access to SRD Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
